It is a lovely binder. Would be a perfect binder if it came in a compact size. Maybe even a zipper inside pocket. Love the look.

Can a legal pad fit in the right hand pocket?

Hello. It will not fit a full size legal pad, that would be too big for the binder. But it is made to fit our Classic size notepads.

I need a lot of room I love the look of this binder can I get it with 1.5 inch or better yet 2 inch rings.

Hello. We do not offer this binder in different ring sizes. However, you can call our call center and order different size rings to replace the current rings. I am not sure if they 2" rings are available or if they would fit, but they would be able to help you. You can reach them at 1-800-654-1776.

Question:
When I enter parameters on the Franklin site to search for ring binders in Classic size 0.75, this binder shows up, however I only see a 1.25 inch ring. Does this come in size .75 inch?

Hello. When I select Classic and 0.75" rings the one result is our Smith Leather Open Binder. The binders listed at the top of the Binders category page are our new binders that we are highlighting.

What holds it closed?

Hello. It is an open binder which means it does not have a closure like a zipper or snap. It naturally closes, but nothing secures it.
