Over several yearly editions of Poor Richard's Almanack, Benjamin Franklin recorded several wise sayings from his era, such as "Well done is better than well said", "What you would seem to be, be really', and "A true Friend is the best Possession." Of course, not all the sayings here are original with old Ben, but he usually gave proverbs from other sources a flavor all his own. This 64-page hardcover pocket gift book features woodcut illustrations adapted from the crude cuts of Joseph Crawhall.
